The holiday was overwhelming, but it always seems that way. Jim's 40th birthday was a hit, he was so surprised. Chris' birthday was a little overshadowed by his Dad's big bash but he was blessed with baby hamsters and the latest Nintendo system. He did not seem to miss the birthday cards that are still sitting on the table in my bedroom or mind waiting for his birthday 'cheesecake' until Christmas day.
My blessings for this Christmas season began with the birth of those tiny little hamsters and ended with the birth of two more babies on Christmas day. Yes, Spice is now a mama too.
In the middle there were so many. Christopher actually sang his lines in the Christmas pageant! He said that he wanted to surprise me and boy did he. He sang so sweetly, filled with fear, he couldn't muster even a hint of a smile until it was all over! My boy can actually sing! We gave him a little MP3 player for Christmas and can't get him to stop singing! In fact, I can hear him humming now!
I was invited to two Christmas parties with my friends and had the best time. What is it about girlfriends that can make you laugh and cry at the same time. It is truly a blessing when women stick together. These girls fill my life in a way my boys will never know how. (and vice versa)
This season I heared from a long lost friend; recieved my first piece of fabric for Hope's Bai Jai Bei, found time to make some Christmas cookies, and wrote a letter to my mother from Hope that made me cry the whole time I wrote it and her cry the whole time she read it.
This Christmas was full of miracles, I'm glad I had my eyes open to see them and my ears open to hear them!
