Halloween

In the morning my mom met me at the mall so we could enjoy Kate's first Halloween. I got her all dressed in her wings and tutu and grandma pushed her around the mall and enjoyed showing our little angel off! And did she get the attention!! We started out at My Photographer for a little photoshoot, had lunch at Olga's and did a little window shopping. It was a perfect girls day out for all three of us! (Check out her blog for her studio shots!)

As far as Chris goes, a new school and church sure made a difference this year. All in all, it was a fun day, but different from past years. Chris' school doesn't have Halloween festivities so I didn't need to volunteer or send in candy. To make up for this I stopped by the school a little early to visit with Amiee so she could see Kate in her costume. Then picked Chris up and took him to DQ for his weekly reward for not missing the bus all week! We actually love our DQ and are friendly with the owners, they have a grand-daughter about 6 weeks younger than Kate and she was there! Since we were the only one's crazy enough to go to DQ on Halloween, they came and sat with us and Kate and Nyla got to make friends!

Chris' Jr. High Youth group met on Halloween night, in a neighboring sub-division, to Trick or Treat for canned goods for the needy, so in order to be with him and meet new people myself, I didn't stay home to pass out candy. Since he is getting older and the youth group party was a perfect fit for him. He still got to dress up as long as it was an 'appropriate' representation for his school, so he decided just to wear his Tiger's jersey and cap. He got to hang with kids his age and get lots of candy all while doing a service project!

It was a very long day, but quite full. Everything was new.... I wonder what next Halloween will be like?
