Chris and Jim got to go on their first Boy Scout Resident Camp last week and they had the time of their lives! What an amazing experience. In our troop alone there were 35 boys and 11 parents.
The boys worked on merit badges and advancement in the wide open outdoors. Chris went to camp as a "Scout" rank and left 2 levels higer at "2nd Class". He also earned 2 Eagle required merit badges, Swimming and First Aid as well as, Wood Carving, Pottery and part of Environmental Science!
Jim was very impressed with how well the boys worked together, they were self motivated to get their requirements and the older boys just naturally fell in to help the younger ones. I have to say I am thrilled that Jim and Chris both have found such a great troop to be a part of.
The older boys gave all the new boys nicknames. Chris lived in his Florida Gators cap all week so they named him "Croc"! He wants me to call him that now!
